• Maurice Bridge, Senior Consultant

Maurice Bridge has over 35 years experience in communications. His background includes daily news reporting for television and print, television field production and television newscast management.

He draws on these skills to offer a wide variety of communications options, including crisis management, community engagement, media training and strategic counseling. He has a broad knowledge of business communications needs and the B.C. business community, built up during stints as editor of B.C.’s prize-winning weekly business newspaper, Business in Vancouver, and as a columnist and assignment editor for the business section of The Vancouver Sun. This background helps him to find the fundamentals of issues that affect the reputations of businesses and groups, and to offer solutions to enhance or protect their social capital.

He also has experience in dealing with the communications and social requirements of extractive industries on a worldwide basis, and has firsthand experience in the relationships between large industry, aboriginal populations and government.

Bridge is also active in the community, serving on the board and several committees of Coast Mental Health Foundation.

He has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of B.C. and a Diplome d’Etudes Superieures from the Université d’Aix-Marseille, France.
