VANOC leader and inspirational champion John Furlong graciously turned down an invitation to enter the political arena by seeking the Liberal Party leadership. In bowing out of the leadership race, Furlong said:

With Mining Future Uncertain, Education is Key

A new report by Statistics Canada indicates that high-school dropout rates are declining. That’s the good news – the bad news is that 10.3 per cent of young men and 6.6 per cent of young women between the ages of 20 and 24 still have not completed a high-school diploma and are not attending school. http://tinyurl.com/287vogt It’s like starving to death in a grocery store.
